‘Husky Trek’ to support Burma Campaign UK completed

(Mizzima) – Robert Thein has successfully completed his 200 kilometre “Husky Trek in the Arctic Circle” to raise money for Burma Campaign UK.

“It was an experience that one could never forget, and a very exhausting one,” he said. “We slept in tents that froze by the morning and drilled holes into the frozen lake to find water.”

“The toughest part was running up the hills in deep snow with big arctic boots, shivering in a tent at 5 a.m. trying to keep warm, and also being caught in a snowstorm that made it impossible to see anything but white,” he said.
