Farewell to oil and gas equipment license

The Ministry of Commerce has announced that as of April 1 the export-import license for equipment used in oil and natural gas enterprises will no longer be needed.
“We are easing the procedures needed to apply for the export-import license. There are already 152 different export products and 166 kinds of import products have are allowed to be exported and imported without a license and now, equipments which are used in oil and gas enterprises have joined that list,” said a high ranking officer from the ministry.

This means that the old import-export license previously needed for both importing equipment for projects and sending it back after the project is completed will be no longer needed. Previously, licenses and supervision of the Ministry of Energy were required.
